question.gif VPN shows 0.0.0.0 both ends 21-04-2007 17:35
Hi,

I just installed Wippien on 2 machines, but the IP addresses next to the name at the top of the window just shows 0.0.0.0 - adapter both sides is active, but no IP assigned. I am unsure of what to do in order to get it working - I have my own server (openfire) - do I need to do something on there/install a script?

Thanks

Actually just worked out that if I log in with a wippien account it assigns an IP. I assume this is to do with the mediator.php file? Is there a timeframe for getting a copy of this?

Neil,

do you have mediator.php? I can send it to you if you wish. You will need MySQL and PHP server.

Neil,

btw if your server is connected to internet, why don't you make our mediator your mediator? It could still work..

If you could send me mediator.php that would be great as I have mysql and php running. My email is nwebster-at-slash-dot-org. smile.gif

Just out of interest though, I did try doing a server-server connection to use your mediator but it failed?

It is okay I fixed it. I would still like a copy of mediator.php if you can supply it though.

My server was not set up to to server-to-server connections, this is now done so the mediator is now available to me. The Windows Firewall was also blocking the VPN traffic - I have disabled it as I have a hardware firewall.
