I was wpondering... how does wippien change the network settings and make wippien's adapter the primary adapter without having to have anybody go into the settings or anything like that.. is there any portion of the source code i can look at to see how this is done? I really would like to know so i can implement this method of changing the settings in some of my apps.. could you tell me the magic behind how this is done? I really like the ease of use..

Jonathan, we don't have something like that. I don't know why it becomes primary for you. All we do is call 'netsh' to set up IP and stuff, and that's all. Kreso

Search for 'netsh' in the code. I think it's in ethernet.cpp. Kreso

So i looked at the code and saw the netsh call... (with lots of work with strings) but i have NO idea how wippien knows which branch to pick from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlNetwork{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} to get the name value so it can rename the adapter... is there a preset or something? and sorry if i'm asking too many questions

I'm not sure but I believe I have chosen that GUID and use it in the adapter source too, so I have it as #define . If you have your own adapter, you would do the same. Kreso
