just another thought. since our addresses and passwords are already declared, to parse our email banks for new messages and return the headers. then have a tooltip/popup come in from the bottom of the screen saying such. (like norton's system status indicator, which i dont have anymore)

i know that there are other freeware alternatives out there, but i just dont trust any of them as they are not opensource and/or none of them are endorsed. this is a function of pidgin but thats long gone off of my system. lol

You're not. Don't worry. I just can't implement features when they are requested, but I keep them on my todo list and eventually do add them, even if it takes few months.
