Hi everybody. I used hamachi before and it worked. Since, I've uninstalled Hamachi and I installed Wippien, I have minors problems. Wippien is a great free software but I cannot use remote desktop. I explain: - I cannot use remote desktop (it crash on welcome screen when I use the Wippien's IP address whereas it works when I use my local address in 192.168.x.x) - I cannot use the last real vnc version (it cannot contact the host when I use the Wippien's IP address whereas it works when I use my local address in 192.168.x.x) How can I fix my problem? Thanks in advance. Bye. PS: I use Windows Vista, I've disabled windows's firewall and I authorised the remote desktop.

I tried it all on Windows XP and worked ok, both RDP and VNC. I will see about Vista if I can duplicate your problem. Kreso

I tried it on Vista (both when Vista is local and remote) and I had no issues with it. How did it crash? Did you get 'access violation' or your 'crash' term means something else? Kreso

Hi When I use windows remote desktop, it freezes on welcome screen and then, I am disconnected. I have a message that says it takes too many times (if my memory is good). When I use real vnc, I can't find the server when I try to connect with the client. I don't have access violation in both case.

No need to. If IP addresses are black things should work properly. Kreso

I am having the exactly same problem here as well. I can connect VNC via Physical LAN (192.168.XXX.XXX) but I am unable to Connect VNC via wippien. once machine is Vista another is XP.

Can ping on the LAN IP but not on Wippien IP. I have already disabled the firewall just in case u are asking.

That's the problem. Make sure you can ping him first. Disable Windows firewall on both sides, so that "red shield" appears on tray. Then make sure both IPs (his and yours) are black. Then make sure routes are correct - they should be if you didn't interfere with Wippien's network adapter. Do you have any other network adapter? Can you execute 'ipconfig /all' from command line and paste results here? Kreso
