Mediation server 11-03-2008 16:48
Last question of the day: In the screen Settings|Network|Mediator there is a checkbox "Allow new mediators to be added". How does one go about adding one? Assume for purposes of this discussion that I've followed the instructions at www.wippien.com/mediator.php and I have put the PHP Code script from

http://www.weonlydo.com/VPN/Help/index.html?page=Mediator.html

on my publicly accessible webserver and run "php -q mediator.php" so that it is listening on port 8000.

By the way, does you have the C code shown on that page compiled for WindowsXP available? I don't have a C compiler on this computer but I'd like to test it, if I could.

Currently new mediators can be added only if they are provided through mediation, or if they are received from some other peer during their negotiation. I will add option to manually add/remove in the future.

As for binaries, that's good idea. I could compile and post binaries. I'll try it tonight.

It uses very little actually. If you want to be added to the list, let me know and I'll put it online.

More mediators help distribution and easier connections in case some of them go down.
