Hey!

Me and my friends are trying to play WC3 (generally any lan game) over wippien. Before we did it with Hamachi, however since a certain version it doesn't work anymore with it.
Apart from that hamachi's availablity hasn't always been the best.

Anyway:

VPN over Wippien is established, but they cannot see my wc3 game.
Only if they use lancraft and type my wippien ip there they can see it.
Could this mean, that udp broadcasts don't get through?
Why could that be?

I'm not much of a gamer personally (ok, I play solitaire now and then) so I couldn't be much of help - but if this is issue someone else could encounter to, can you explain what you did to solve it?

Well, we haven't really solved the problem itself, but merely circumvented it by using a software that has been made for situations like that.

There you type the Wippien IP of your hosting friend and start the game and through that software you see the game anyway.
I have no idea how it works, but I'm fine as long as it does. :D

What software do you use? i'd be very interested in it.

Usualy the problem with these situations is the settings of the network-adapter priority (a lot of people dont know about it)

a lot of games only probe the adapter on the top of that list and forget about the rest.

Yeah already tried that, but unfortunately it didn't help either.

So we use Lancraft.
As you can tell from the name it is specifically for Warcraft 3
and won't help with any other games.
