Most of german google accounts have some serious problem with your software:

Their eMail is accessible through:
But their Google-Talk is only accessible through:

Almost no user is aware of this. So everybody tries using and is not able to connect...

I know this is some shit, but all of my german friends stumbeled over this and decided to not use wippien because of this issue.

Solution: Enter the following when registering:
JID:
Pass: yourPassword
Resource: ? dunno what this means -> Selected WippienIM3
Server: talk.google.com (NEEDS TO BE CHANGED PER MANUM!)
Port: 433 (and select the option afterwards)

-> Click on "test konto" -> Voila!

wow, that nearly did the trick ^^ , but i still can't passed an error...
it is initializing but than, after some time, there comes:
The current connection has timeout.
i'm using my google mail account, and after the steps descrieb in the post before i get to the point of nothingness.

I even tried to create an account at wippien , but that didn't work either.

Wippien has all right with my firewall and should be able to connect without problems.

ah, it was so easy, IF there would not have been the thing with the SSL button, because of that little button, it resets the talk.google.com to the same standard as before.

PS: a bigger FAQ with such things as in this post would be very nice!

that link you posted is kinda strange... I'm an Austrian citizen with very good contacts to German citizens and I really have never heard about that stuff. I think someone wants to rip you off...

It would be interesting to know for what you would need a especially a German VPN?
